The motto of my work is: "Provoke those who dare to be, entertain those who prefer to be." I do not work according to clear ideas or motives that I have considered beforehand. I start by letting the pen run freely in a "controlled lack of intent" and work from there. The procedure feels like a subliminal and cathartic translation of my thoughts on both mundane and personal issues onto the sheets in front of me. When I am done with a drawing, I always write a poem fitting the story that my work tells me.

Becoming an artist never felt like an option for me. My father, who studied at the famous Städelschule in Frankfurt spent his entire life doing what he loves and believes in but couldn’t provide for his family with his art and suffers from his lack of financial success to date. Regarding this painful example, I chose a very different career. I studied linguistics and management and ended up working as a private business investigator for over 10 years. The older I got, the more I realized that my work wasn't making me happy, and it felt like I was betraying myself. It wasn't until a lengthy hospital stay in 2018/19 at age 34, that I took my time to think about my career and life choices and re-discovered my passion for art and hunger to express myself creatively. I bought pens and paper and started drawing several hours per day right away. I enjoy this creative process so much, that it didn't take me very long to decide that being an artist with all my heart is what I want in life. In addition to drawing and writing poetry I signed up at the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio in Berlin in 2020 and became a full-time student.
The joy I get out of my work as an artist is incomparable to anything I've experienced before, and I feel blessed for having had the courage to follow my heart.
Or in other words: I am a self-taught newcomer with the enthusiasm of a child.
