This work is my visual response to the view of River Congo. I painted it in my first year of a 3 year period of living in Kinshasa.

My signature abstract scribbling represents all the feelings impossible to express.
The dynamic flow of gesture is a reference to merciless flow of one of the most potent rivers in the world.
Raw background layers, muddy colors and uncomfortable composition - it's all about Kinshasa: the most raw, muddy and uncomfortable place I've ever been to.
